Questions people ask

Who is this for?

Anyone whose email ends in their own name, like you@yourcompany.com. Most of our customers are small businesses, shops, clubs and schools. Some are IT people and web designers who look after email for clients. If you use a free address like @gmail.com, you don't need us.

Do I need to be technical?

No. We tell you what's wrong in plain words and give you step-by-step fixes. If you'd rather not touch any settings, we can make the changes for you.

Will this change or break my email?

No. Watching your email doesn't change how it's sent or delivered. The only setting you add tells email providers to send us reports. Stronger protection is a separate step, and we only suggest it once two weeks of reports show it's safe.

What is a "domain"?

It's the part of your email address after the @, like yourcompany.com in you@yourcompany.com. It's usually your website's name too.

What if I don't know where my settings are?

We'll tell you. When you add your domain, we show you which company holds its settings (for example Cloudflare or GoDaddy) and exactly where to go.

Can anyone see my emails?

No. The reports we read list which servers sent email as you and whether it passed. They never contain what your emails say or who they went to.

Why would someone fake my email?

To trick your customers. Fake invoices and "please update your payment details" messages are the most common scams, and they work because the email looks like it came from you.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time. You keep the service until the end of the period you paid for.
